Now we are headding for some new Rv motorhome adventures in Norway this summer. Yeasterday I whent to Bergen and picked up El Senior Benzi. El Senior is a Merchedes Benz 309. 7 meters long and 2.40 m wide buildt as a bus in 1980 but converted later to a camper. El Senior has most of everything one needs to camp out for a longer time but there are still some things that need to be added in time. First of all I would like to have a backup camera. That comes from my experience with Bigwheel Benzi. Also we loved the solarcells after Solar Mike had done his magic to our system. We where totally selfsufficient from there on so Solarcells are a must to have. Beside that there are only minor things I like to add ore changes for now in the interior.
El Senior is an old bus, but functions like I expected and was fine to drive, even on the narrow roads of Sognefjord. He is easier to drive than the big one and a tad bit faster because he is lighter and is equiped with a 6 cylinder 130hp dieselengine.
As I am headin upto north to Mo i Rana in central Norway its going to be fun to take it even further north this summer. I will be working a bit up there in North Norway and might end up staying in the area until the new year. For most of the time I will be living in El Senior so its going to be fun to see how he is going to work out in th long run.
This fact means that the tiny litle Hyppo (plagued with psoriasis) is now up for sale if any one needs a camper project to work on. In fact there is mainly only bodywork that needs to be done.
