Colorful graduation students in New Orleans

Second day in New Orleans
We spent the day roaming around down town New Orleans. Went to the market and listened to some Jazz. Guðný managed to find a Panama hat similar to mine and ended up buying it.
There was a graduation from one of the high schools here in town and I was shocked to see the recruiters from the Army or Navy there telling those young boys how bright their future would be playing war games in faraway countries.
Guess that coming from a land nobody ever gets shot (in my memory) and with no army, no navy and very few guns (execpt some shotguns used for hunting Christmas dinner) this looked kind a strange.
Sad if the future is not brighter than that. This filled me with even more saddening feeling over New Orleans
